I have a set of Encyclopedia Britannica from 1989 that I want to get rid of. They're in pristine condition so I'd prefer not to throw them out, but will if I can't find any other options.
I tried checking the City of Calgary website to see if I could just blue bin them out, but they don't recycle any hard cover books.
I tried calling the local library, but they don't accept them either.
The library recommended I call the Calgary Correctional Centre, but they don't accept them either... (though they mentioned they do accept pocket books and "male oriented reading"...whatever that means

)
I'll probably try craigslist and maybe something called freecycle.org, but I'm doubtful anyone would take these.
Anybody have any ideas what the hell I'm supposed to do with these things before I just chuck them?
