It seems as there is a fair number of us that own a console and play video games. Besides the beloved NHL 2009/2010, what are some good games out there that you guys play?

For me, my favorite right now is Call of Duty: MW.
Rainbow six Las vegas 1 was pretty good but got boring after a while... really liked the controls and game play though.

I want to try out Battlefield 1943, Ghost recon 2.

Anyone know if the new GTA versions are good? As for me, after a while these series all kinda feel the same and I'm bored of it now.

Battlefield BC is pretty good, I just got it but it's still played online.
GTA IV is decent, and yeah, it's basically the same as the old versions except for a new story and better graphics, but some people like it.

Any game that I try basically takes a back seat to NHL 09, because it's just awesome.

I've been having a blast re-playing some old faves while I wait for SC2 and D3.

- Fable
- Baulder's Gate II

Ninja Gaiden is one of the best games ever
Devil May Cry 4 was ok, one of those "fun when you get halfway through it" games
Conan The Destroyer is actually a really fun hack em slash em
Assassin's Creed if you haven't played it. One of my fav alltime

It may sound dumb, but there is an old Xbox game called Predator: Concrete Jungle. So awesome. You're Predator. You kill a jillion people. Awesomeness ensues.

I PC Game, because PC is the only way to play FPS. Anything else is uncivilized.

My favorite of all time is Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. More specifcially the Spearhead expansion pack. I still play it from time to time. Rainbox Six Vegas and Vegas 2 were pretty good games. Call of Duty 2 and CoD4:MW are good. Right now my game of choice is COD:WaW.

Two other really good games that I can play over and over are Kotor. (Knights of The Old Republic and Knights of The Old Republic: The Sith Lords).

I second Monkey Island SE fun/funny problem solving adventure game and Dead Space in which I pooped my pants a few times during that one.

If you're into some modern classics, FEAR and Bioshock were great.

Games I'm currently playing:

PC - Lineage II (been playing this MMO for 5 years now)

Xbox 360 - Lost Odyssey (a damn good single player RPG), Battlefield 1943 (It was really fun at first but with only 4 maps (and Coral Sea blows IMO) and one mode to play it's starting to get boring.

Akso waiting for CoD: MW2 to come out. I probably won't be playing anything else for months when that comes out lol

Dead Rising was a lot of fun.
I'll second Uncharted as a really good game.
I very much enjoyed Valkyria Chronicles.
If you are a Ghostbusters fan, then you won't go wrong with GB.
GTA 4 is a good time too.

For PC, if you like RTS and are waiting for StarCraft, I strongly recommend Sins of a Solar Empire.

If you are a WWII buff, then any of the "Company of Heroes" is great.

If you like adult RPG go with the latest version of The Witcher. A really really polished and fun game. Only for a mature audience.

Kings Bounty is a very good turn based RPG - all the glory of a modern title, but oldschool in design.

Fallout 3 is fantastic - similar in style to Oblivion.
