Default Two killed in Tragic car crash

Quote:
A Washington state trooper spokeswoman said Kylie Doxtater and Mikelle Hendrickson, both 18, were killed when the Honda CR-V they were travelling in flew off the road on State Rt. 8 near mile post 20 Sunday evening. Both died at the scene.

Trooper Brandy Kessler said both Doxtater and Hendrickson were riding with two other Calgarians - Benjamin Harms and Lena Elliott, both also 18 and from Calgary - when the crash happened. Kessler said the vehicle was travelling at high speeds when it went off the road, going airborne and colliding with multiple trees.

I just had to share this with everyone as I go to Bowness and Kylie sat beside me for an entire year in my social-class. This is a very sad day for students at Bowness and I hope Lena and Ben are alright. Some inside sources (friends) are telling me that Lena may have broken her spine and may become paralyzed.

This was a tragic loss as these girls had a very bright future and lots of potential.

R.I.P.

Very tragic story. I hear the driver was charged on sight before being transported to the hospital. God, will kids ever learn not to drink / do drugs and drive? My heart goes out to the families and friends of everyone involved.

Sad. I hate it when this kind of stuff happens to bright young people who have their whole adult life stretching out in front of them yet. Very sad.

News tonight said the troopers on scene suspect the driver was on drugs at the time of the accident.

He is facing charges of two counts of Vehicular Homicide and one count of Vehicular Assault.

Police are still investigating but say drugs may be a factor in the crash.

Mikelle Hendrickson- Wanted to become a nurse for children as she loved children and wanted to take care of as many as she could. She was going to attend U of C in the fall.

Kylie Doxtater- She wanted to become a journalist as she wanted to interact with people and wanted to meet a lot of people throughout her life-time. She was going to attend MRC this fall.

Man i hate stories like this. It's so unfair. I've had 2 sets of friends killed via drinking and driving. Both were straight out of high school as well.
Also when we were little we had friends of ours that were also brother and sister that we hung out with all the time that were murdered by their father.

These stories are traumatizing and i feel for you and all your friends and of course their families. Very tragic.

This story is closer to me than I care to share, but it's both unbelievably sad and frustrating.
