XM Satelite Radio in New Cars
Anyone else having the same problem I am? I bought a new car and got a 3 month trial. Starting about 3 weeks ago, the jerks started calling my cell phone 2-3 times a day even though I still have over two months left on my trial.
About a week and a half ago I had had enough, and called them and told them that I was interested in retaining their services but if they called me one more time there wasn't a chance in hell I was renewing. They assured me I would be put on the do not call list, and I could contact them when I wanted to make the decision.
The calls have NOT STOPPED. I've now called them 6 times now telling them to stop calling, and each time they tell me "We're taking you off the list", yet i'm continually harassed daily.
Anyone else have this problem? I'm so pissed there's no way i'm keeping their services, but this has gotten to the point they are outright harassing me. Any suggestions on how to get this to stop?

I never had that problem when our family got a Saturn. They only called once about 3 weeks before the end of our 3 month trial.

I used to have an XM subscription. When I signed up I only did monthly. They kept calling me asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a year membership. But not as many times as you. They only did that about 10 times in about 14 months. Then I cancelled the account and they called me three more times to go for the yearly subscription. I told them that I had already cancelled my subscription. They would pause and then say.. oh, sorry.
So I guess the system that they use to track memberships has a bug.

Threaten to sue them. Tell them you called your lawyer. Isn't it harassment to be called like this after you explicitly ask them not to bother you?

Weird, I have never received a single call from them.
Can you log in online and put a false number in?

Heck, you can put a false address in too! Comes in handy if you like the American pricing better.

The people you are complaining to, are they the people calling, or are you calling into XM?
I would think that an escallation to a supervisor in the main call centre would be able to put a stop to it.

I've called into XM many times to complain, not the idiots calling me. Each and everytime they apologize and assure me I won't be called again (than I receive 2+ phone calls from them the next day). I'm contacting Silverhill Acura tommorow (where I bought the car) and tell them the story, see if they can do anything.

Turned out a friend of mine was getting their calls which I found out today. He just bought his truck (still free) and they are actually leaving messages on his business voicemail. They threatened that if he doesn't pay for the next 6 months they will send him to collections. What a great sales tactic... after someones free period runs out, just threaten them with collections in order to get them to renew. Wow. Things must be desperate at XM.

I just canceled last month because my new head unit I put in my truck did not have a XM receiver. So I had to switch my service to Sirius, and I have been receiving calls from XM since I canceled.

After the 3rd time I would have demanded to talk to his supervisor and get their name and ID number or whatever it is. If the supervisors can't deal with it, call head management and get some heads to roll!!! Or at least get a year free subscription or osmething to remedy the problem

Sirius is way better anyway, call them and ask if they will give a free three months to match XM, then switch.

How is Sirius way better? 95% of the stations are the same!

Because they probably (I'm just saying...) don't call you everyday to renew your subscription. Which would make them 100% better.
