Just to put this into perspective; if he got 1 Airmile for every $20 spent, you would have enough Airmiles to get to Alpha Centauri and back 19 times!

No, a 13% interest rate works out to 250 Trillion in interest per month.
2.4 Trillion per month would be only a 0.1% interest rate.
