So I just reformatted my computer (first time in 5 years, wowzers)

Anyway I updated the graphics driver which caused my video to go back to 4 bits, and only 640x480. So I re-installed the old driver. No big deal, it's all working . . . except: The windows bar at the bottom of the screen (with the start button, clock, etc) is still in the 4 bit graphics, where everything else is normal.

Any idea how to change that? Not that it's a huge deal, just curious

Have you re-booted since applying it? What abaout switching back to 16 bit, then back to 32 bit?

I was hoping no one replied as once I realized what the problem was I literally said out loud "ugh I'm an idiot!"

Desktop theme was modified and not standard. Duh!

This definitely belongs in the "you're doing it wrong" thread.
