Looking for: woodworker
Looking for a woodworker to help me out with a project... I'm looking for quotes first, before I decide whether to go through with it. Search google images for "diy arcade stick" and that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Specific dimensions of the box itself aren't TOO important to me, as long as they follow the general guidelines of what the box is...
It's basically composed of these elements:
Surface: control panel (the only part with specific dimensions), and ideally a plexiglass surface so that a slip of paper with some graphics can be placed beneath it. The control panel has holes drilled into it for the buttons and joystick
Sides: Four side panels. One side (probably the left) will have four holes (button-sized) for additional buttons and a USB port
Bottom: Least important... would like to have a plexiglass base so the guts can be seen in all their glory, but a simple wood base would be okay too.
That's about it... the surface has to be flush all the way through. Maybe the bottom panel could be set in place with grooves so that it can be slid in and out? Anyway, I'd like to hear some thoughts about this project, and how much it would cost.
