even though I don't think he's that good at all.....it's not good for the Jays chances what so ever.

If you want to talk about a union that needs to be crushed, it's the MLBPA...

The players' association had told Sosa's agent, Adam Katz, several weeks ago that voiding the option would not be a problem.

Why the hell should the union even have a say? If Sosa were to wish to tear up that option, it should be his right.

Hell, the union changed the course of baseball history last year when *it* vetoed the Arod trade to Boston because the union didnt want Arod's deal restructured to less money, even though the Red Sox, MLB and Arod himself had all agreed to it.

Good news for Oriole fans, brutal for Jays fans.

I see us in fourth this coming season, at best.

Sammy is over the hill now but he still can hit homeruns. He had 35 in about 120 games last year. If nothing else he will bring in fans to watch which is something that the Orioles need especially with the new team in Washington now.

One has to wonder what the new and improved drug testing policy will do to Sammy's power.

Also, Angelos doesnt need fans anymore. He bent MLB over the table before dropping his veto of the move. MLB has guaranteed his revenue and franchise value. Angelos could turn the Orioles into the Expos and rake it in if he wished.

Jays in fourth? I'd say thats wishful thinking. They'll be lucky not to be drafting 1st.

We have something they dont: Pitching.

We can finish third if we have a few surprises out of the offense.

Fourth is most likely though, I agree.

Yeah, we'll need stellar pitching (a healthy Halliday would do wonders, maybe get him back to 20 wins), and we'll also need a major bust by either the Red Sox (unlikely) or the Orioles (slightly more likely).

If only the New York Rangers played baseball in the AL East.

This sucks. I don't follow baseball as closely as the NHL, college sports, or the NFL, but I've always been somewhat of an O's fan. I really don't like Sosa...at all. He's one of my top 3 least favorite athletes. Crap.

Yeah I've never really liked ol' 'cork 'n' roids' Sosa myself, and I too like the orioles more than most teams.
This isn't to be mean or politically incorrect, but doesn't he kinda look like he has F.A.S.? There's just kind of a hint of it there, to me anyway.
