Possibily The Worst Two Months For Phil?

May 20th: Amy Mickelson diagnosed with breast cancer

July 7th: Phil Mickelson's mother also diagnosed with breast cancer

Thoughts go to to the Mickelson's and Amy's family, this is just a crazy turn of events for the worlds #2 golfer. Both go into surgery this Friday in the same hospital.

I have actually gained a lot of respect for Phil over these past two months considering his great play during these tough times and also some comments he made during the US Open.

Hopefully all goes well on Friday and we can see Phil back on the golf course.

Brutal. I saw that last night and I didn't give it much thought because I thought it was referring to Phil's wife.

I really never liked Phil as a golfer, but I was cheering for him at the US Open. That's about as bad of a hand as you can be dealt over a couple months.

Ahhh, to be fair, I can pretty easily think of two people who have received worse news than Phil in the last two months.
