Default Iphone Speaker Docks

What do people here recommend? Ideally I would like a boombox style system that will charge the phone, run off an optional battery, has a radio, and good volume to the speakers. I plan to use it in the yard when I'm lounging or in the garage for workouts.

I've yet to see one online that meets all that criteria. The closest one would be this but I don't think it will work for the iphone

Thanks! I don't know how I missed that one; it has it all.

The cnet review said the sound was lacking and that it wasn't very loud. I wonder if they are just picky listeners.

Correction: iPhone speaker docks.

That is all.

The sound is great as far as I know, I'm not sure how loud it goes but I would say their being picky because it is a good quality iPhone dock.

I went with the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2.
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/rev...r-ipod-iphone/

I'm fairly happy with it. Good sound quality.

Things I don't like:
- iPhone only charges if the speakers are plugged in; if you are using the Pure-fi's lithium ion battery the phone will not lose nor gain any charge
- The manual claims that it will shut itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity. However, twice I've put on some Leonard Cohen before going to bed, ensured that repeat play was not on and let it rip. It should have turned off after that album was over plus 10 minutes, but when I woke in the morning the 10hr battery was drained dead.
- There is no volume equalization. What I mean by that is that if I'm out in my pool, I put it on complete random shuffle and the first song is a light Jane Sibery song so I set the volume at 5 and the next song is Anthrax and I have my neighbor running over complaining he doesn't want to hear my racket. It's a pain to get in/out of the pool every song so I've stopped using random play when doing my laps.

I think all iPhone speakers need to be plugged in to charge it, I know the one I posted does and so does the one I own.

I just bought this one, but from Superstore for $80. Nothing too special, but good for the price. Charges, works for iphone, come with a remote, has clock, alarm & radio
