Default Queen Charlotte Isl.

I'm planning on going to the island in about a month, for 4 day's of backpacking/camping. I'll be flying out and won't have a car. I'm wondering if anyone has visited or knows the island any and can tell me about some of the trails. I'm hoping to find a pretty good network near the airport in sandspit.

Queen Charlotte Islands may be one of the most beautiful places in western Canada. I've been there about half a dozen times and can't wait to go back there again. Its hard to recommend anything in particular without knowing exactly what you're looking for but definitely check out Tow Hill and Naikoon Provincial Park. Beautiful being right on the ocean.

But some websites that will probably help you out...

I've been there a few times but never have time to actually do anything fun. It is amazing country from what I've seen though.

I've been there three times, years ago. The first time I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law and brought back a beautiful burl coffee table that my brother-in-law made. Lots of little deer all over the place and they taste fine too. It seemed to be open season all year round. The second time all I remember was being stoned on acid on the reserve. The third time I was on a drunk and ended up there accidentally and of course my luggage ended up somewhere else for a couple of weeks. Nice wild country country though and it rains a bit.

Wow. Sounds like quite the adventure. How on earth did you end up on the island by accident..?
