hhmm, Thailand.....preferably Pattaya....your wife will have a blast!!!
Seriously, go somewhere in the mediterranean.....turkey is cheap, someplace like Side (pronounced Seeday), its an old Roman city, lots of ruins - there is actually an old colliseum pretty much on the main beach, great beaches.....and it will be smokin hot at that time of year.....you can rent a condo for dirt cheap...and flights nowadays are really reasonable (you can transit thru either heathrow or frankfurt)...you could also spend a night or two in Istanbul....amazing, amazing city!!!

First of all, Congrats on getting married!
Well I'm not married myself, but my sister got married about 3 years ago and she went on a cruise to the Greece and some other Mediterranean places and loved it. The best part of it? A couple months after they came back, their cruise boat sank because it hit some rocks.
But I'm sure you could get an all inclusive hotel instead of a cruise. There was a Donkey ride that was supposedly pretty awesome.
Another good place I think would be Cuba. Great atmosphere, great weather, cheap everything, scenic... pure awesome. Favorite place of mine and I think for my honey-moon I'll be going there.
Or... if you want to try something a little more out there, go to Russia. I went there, pretty awesome. Palaces were amazing... but nothing beachy or beautiful scenary.

Well, it doesn't fit the all-inclusive or adults only criteria, but you simply can't beat the mediterranean in september. I'll always vote for Italy, so I hereby submit Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre. Best time of year to be there. Alot of the kids have left back to college but the weather is still spectacular. And the food... Oh, the food.

September is in the middle of hurricane season for all the tropical/carribean places you mentioned with all-inclusives (mexico, jamaica, domincan, etc).
I'd vote for Hawaii. Any island except Oahu.

Great thread!! Getting hitched this Aug 8th and looking for places for us to go as well. Seriously considering SE Asia (Vietnam + Thailand). So cheap. I guess it depends on what kind of trip you want as well...I'm an adventurer and she's more of a beach bum so we need a good fit.
Also thought about doing a camping trip through the Okanagon or Vanc. Island in August.
Definitely going to look into Greece + Turkey...

Egypt.
Sharm El Sheikh was amazing when I was there. Snorkeling in the Red Sea was the coolest thing I have ever done.

Why don't you look at cruises? We're getting married in September and are probably going on a nine country cruise in February for our honemoon

Are you my long-lost twin or do we have some parallel-preggo-brain-waves going on?
I second this post. My anniversary is in September and when we've gone to Hawaii, we've always had good weather in September.
Oahu is too "metropolis-y". The Big Island has nothing on it. I find Maui to be a happy medium.
The only downfall is there's no all inclusives. But at least if you rent a car and tour around the island, you should feel safer than being in a third world country and if something happens (knock on wood) you know you can get decent health care (as decent as americans can get )

Not many all inclusives but Hawaii would be inexpensive.
