Default An Article on EU's turn to fringe parties

When people perceive that their so called elite are nit representing their wishes or concerns, they will turn to fringe parties. It will be interesting to see how things change.

The European Parliament is in the throes of an early midlife crisis. Although newspaper headlines are focused on the strong performance of center-right parties, the 2009 vote is more likely to be remembered for the election of so many self-hating parliamentarians.

A related story. I have no idea if it is true. But it sure ring true.

Something's Rotten In Rotterdam

Getting jumped by six Moroccans after I left a gay bar in Rotterdam a few weeks ago brought home — with brutal clarity — my feeling that this Dutch port city is a nervous place on the verge of breakdown.
