Default Your Tax Refund

So I was a little late in filing my taxes (I still do the old fashioned pencil and eraser). I checked my online banking today and noticed that I finally got my return. I was only expecting $326 so it was a pleasant surprise when the direct deposit showed $331. Unfortunately, I will be putting this entire amount towards our wedding so no fancy new toys for me.

How much was your tax return and what did you do/what are you going to do with your return?

Anyone owe? Was it alot?

I owed $200+. Can't remember the exact number. I filed like 3 months ago. Paying money to people/govt sucks balls.

That is one nice stroller you must have gotten!!

I got $1500 or so back. It went towards off-setting the $2000+ my husband owed.

Owed $6K. I never pay until I get the NOA, so I had to pay about $3 in late fees.

Just over $3K, being a full time worker and student occasionally has its advantages. Bought a buncha goodies for me ride.

You'll be forced to pay installments if that happens again.

Mine was nearly $8000, but roughly half of that was because they had missed my address change from the previous year and still owed me. I think I had calculated that I would be getting $500 back (I suck at paperwork). Most of it went to paying down the mortgage, and a little left-over is earmarked for a new laptop.

A little over 5k.

It all went to property tax, so all I saw out of it was an efficiently run city maximizing my tax dollar. Go Bronco!!!

Also, if I were to fill out the form to reduce this amount, I have no idea what numbers to put in there so that it comes out to ~350 less per check.

Maybe this thread will get me to do it never realized how dumb this is.
Filling out a TD1 is dead simple.

What's this tax refund you speak of? I haven't seen one of those in about 4 years.

I owed just over 4K for last year and that was with a lot of capital losses on stocks. Next year I am scared as to how much I'll owe with how the stock market has done......
