Default Free Peters Shakes on Sunday

So I just heard on the radio that Peters Drive Inn is having Customer Appreciation Day on Sunday. They are giving away free shakes, one per customer. No strings attached, you do not have to buy anything else, just show up and get a free shake.

It is amazing what people will do for "free".

You can go on Monday and BUY one for $2.50(?) and wait in a very short line, or you can get one for FREEEEEE on Sunday after waiting for an hour in line.

You would have to pay me to wait in a long line for a frikkin Milk Shake. Yeish.

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge.

How has this place not been hammered to the wall by Revenue Canada? No debit, no credit, cash only. Yah, like they are declaring that income. They don't even appear to have a cash register. Both times I have been there the lady has added everything up in her head. As a result, I got ripped off both times. Last time I caught it and she gave me some money back -- when I got home, I realized she'd still ripped me off on the refund.

And if there are any electricians out there, tell me there is not something funny with the electrical outlets that they've installed to power the LED lighting on the trees in the parking lot.

Dude that is what makes Peters awesome. For all the corporate crap out there now I love having a burger and a shake made by an army of foreign people wearing nursing scrubs who write the prices on the bag and add it up by hand.

They only have one size though and it is at least a Large at most other establishments. Plus real bananas in the shakes.

I actually ordered a "small" for my son the last time we were there...not sure how much it was, but the cup was the same height as the regular ones, and only a bit more narrow. It's "small" like their small fries are.

Definite plus on the real fruit in them though!

It's utterly amazing what people will do to get a free shake or free anything for that matter. They complain when they have to wait to buy something yet see nothing wrong with waiting for a ridiculous amount of time for a freebe.

This is one event i won't be attending.

Unless its a fridge, put a fridge outside your house and mark it free and no one will touch the damn thing and neighbors will complain... mark it $10.00 though and it will be stolen that night.

Yeah, my neighbour had a desk he wanted to get rid of, put a sign saying it was free on it. It sat there for a week. He got fed up, put a sign saying it was $1 and it was gone the next day. So weird, I totally don't get that.
