Panthers Off Season Plan
The master plan for this offseason for the Panthers is to retool the organization. The first step in that process was hiring me. Now that that's done, I'm seeking to keep the Panthers competitive, while developing the system. There are several weak spots in the system, most notably at forward.
One of the areas that I'll be addressing in the draft will be the lack of depth at forward. With the 4th overall pick, I'll be taking one of Tavares, Hedman, MSP, or Kane. With any of those players, I am hoping to build around them and make them the centerpiece of my organization for years to come.
One of the immediate areas that I wish to improve is inbetween the pipes. While I think that Fernandez and Holmqvist are both adaquate backups, both leave something to be desired as a starter. Both are going to be free agents, but I'll be keeping one of them. A stop gap starter in the mid-late 30's would be ideal as Irving is on his way.
Also, any offers will be discussed and any player is available... for the right price.
