so here in alabama we are expecting 2 inches of snow
I LOVE IT. People are freaking out. I guess this town shuts down with a dusting of snow.

It'd snowed again the other day around 2 inches, didn't even notice until someone told me 3 days later.

Why wouldn't they shut down? It's a rare event there.

OMG! Is there concerns on how this will impact the supply of Moonshine Liquer?

I was down in Alabama when it "snowed" and I had to drive for my southern friends as they were too panicked to drive themselves...it was quite funny.

Did they pre-declare a state of emergency like Virginia did a few weeks back?

. . . . . and in Nanton this a.m., it's 35 below zero!!!
In Alabama, your lawn is going to be green again next week.
I don't know what I'm saying. It's just all comical, both places.

Yeah this area is gearing up for another round of the white stuff as well, but nothing like a couple weeks ago which paralyzed the city and in fact the whole Western NC area.
This has been a nasty winter by usual standards here...today is the first day in 6 that it has climbed above freezing, a rare event itself. The wind chill has been the big thing of late.
Snow supposed to star in about 4 hours...things are already shutting down (schools and such anyhow) as roads are expected to get rather dicey.

He might have to ask his better half to make sure.

That isnt very much snow.
I love that King of the Hill when it snows and becomes a "propane emergency" and over like 3 snow flakes everyone is running into each other in the parking lot.
Good stuff.

For goodness sake, they are closing schools here tomorrow because of the potential wind chills.

Gotta remember guys I spent the last 8 years in Iowa. Yes I grew up in the south but I did see snow and lots of it.
When I woke up it was all gone but they are saying some more tonight. It's comical because they are shutting the schools down and banks are closed.

At least in Alabama they don't have to worry about shutting down any schools.

We're in the middle of a "big freeze" here in the UK at the moment too. We've got a few inches of snow and it's causing chaos. It's keeping my Canadian husband amused!
