Last week for Jay Leno on the Tonight Show
Haven't watched for many years but just started watching it again.
It was a funny one last nite with his best of headlines and Things that have gone wrong on the Tonight Show.
Jay trying to pick up Wynonna Judd and then dropping her on her ass.
Saving Terry Bradshaw's career by telling him his fly was undone.
Doug Flutie dropping a tonne of Flutie Flakes on him and Jay calling him an A-Hole. hahahahaha
and the best of Jay and Mel Gibson

Last show is on Friday with Conan as his final guest.

Yes he's leaving the Tonight Show. But I remain suspicious that the new "Jay Leno Show", which will be on weeknights starting in Sept. at 10:00 eastern, will be pretty much the same.

It's not the last week. He has more in June.
Mo 5/25: Mel Gibson, Lyle Lovett
Tu 5/26: Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dwight Yoakam
We 5/27: Wanda Sykes, Sarah McLachlan
Th 5/28: Billy Crystal, Prince
Fr 5/29: Conan O'Brien, James Taylor
Mo 6/1: Will Ferrell, Pearl Jam
Tu 6/2: Tom Hanks, Green Day
We 6/3: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bradley Cooper, Sheryl Crow
Th 6/4: Gwyneth Paltrow, John Mayer Trio
Fr 6/5: Ryan Seacrest, Chickenfoot
-that doesn't seem right though, maybe the June listings are the new Conan show. It makes sense that Jay's last guest is Conan rather than Ryan Seacrest lol

Conan starts on the 1st. I'm still wondering why on his 3rd last show he has Wanda Sykes on? hahaha

I had the misfortune of watching Jimmy Fallon for the first time last night. He interviewed the Beastie Boys and man it was awkward. Like a bad date with 4 dudes.
They keep shuffling these hosts around. Why don't they just bring back Johnny Carson? That guy was awesome!

I can't believe Jimmy Fallon is still on the air. It's totally obvious he is nervous. It gets so awkward and hard to watch. you feel really sorry for him. I think the audience laughs out of pity.

Than again, Conan was very awkward and unpolished when he first took over Late Night. It took him 3 years to finally get things right with Andy. I'm not necessarily saying that Jimmy will become as good or better than Conan, but I'll have to see how he turns out after a few seasons.

Yeah Conan was brutal when he started. He was a much easier guy to suffer through though because of his goofy demeanour and the fact that he hadn't done a whack of awful movies with Queen Latifah.
I didn't like Jimmy Fallon before he even started this show.

I don't actually know anyone that does. Still, I'll give him chance because I even gave Alan Thicke, Magic, Dennis Miller and Chevy Chase a chance.

It all depends on who Fallon is interviewing - he has a very ADD-like approach to talking to his guests, it comes off as half-"OMG can't believe they're talking to me!" and half-"I don't know how to build any natural rapport with my guests".
He was funny last night tho after the Beastie Boys were done - he had the Amazing Kreskin back and Kreskin did a cool trick where he made Fallon be as stiff as a board, placed his head on one chair, his feet on another with no other support for his body & then stood on Fallon - very cool to watch!
Also, Fallon does tend to get some really good musical guests.....but I still like Craig Ferguson better in that time slot.

I haven't watched him since his second week, does he still laugh overly hard at everything, like a drunken fratboy would when you're tellin him an awesome story at a kegger? I've been tryin to give him a chance, but that laugh drives me nuts. It's way over the top, and seems kinda forced. That's beauty he has The Roots as his band though, I love when he made em sing songs about people in the audience to whatever genre he chose.
Can't wait for Conan next week, I've missed that pale S.O.B.

I think after Letterman and Leno the best late night host is Craig Ferguson.

Indeed, Craig Ferguson should be #1 on that list.

Thanks to Jimmy Fallon's lack of...well funny, I've started watching Craig and find him pretty funny. His lip synching has been hilarious.

I'd probably take Jimmy Kimmel before Craig Ferguson. His lack of good guests doesn't keep me interested enough to want to watch him... At least for my taste.

Conan O'Brian has some big shoes to fill. Leno has been king since the early 1990's.

Hasn't Craig Ferguson been beating Conan O'Brien in ratings in the same time slot for a while?
