Default Fans of Michael Jackson commit suicide

ok, so I actually was a huge MJ fan, but people WTF!!!

http://www.news.com.au/entertainment...019114,00.html

MICHAEL Jackson's death has reportedly led at least a dozen people to kill themselves worldwide while Australians seek help from a suicide prevention hotline.
Some callers to Lifeline Australia, which speaks to about 50 suicidal people each day, have told counsellors that Jackson's death on Friday had left them distressed.
London man Gary Taylor, who owns the biggest Michael Jackson online fan club, said he was aware of about 12 suicides following the performer's death, Sky News UK reports.
"It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this," Mr Taylor said.

"He would want them to live."
Lifeline CEO Dawn O'Neil said that while there has not been "a dramatic increase" in calls to counsellors since Friday, people have spoken about how Jackson's death has affected them.
"We have had some calls related to this," Ms O’Neil said.
"In some cases, (a celebrity's death) can be very distressing."
The calls came as a friend to the famous family, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, urged fans not to "self-destruct".
"This is a time when hearts are heavy," Jackson said. "There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael's life.
"It made Michael happy saying 'We Are The World'. Don't self destruct."
Ms O'Neil said it was important for people to discuss how they feel in times of death.
"With any loss or death, everyone grieves in their own way," she said.
"Find someone to talk to… it certainly is important to talk to someone."
She said speaking to friends, family, counsellors or their doctor could help people in grief.
If you or someone you know may be at risk of suicide contact Lifeline on 131 114; Kids Help Line on 1800 551 800; visit http://www.beyondblue.org.au; or seek immediate help from a GP or a counsellor.

^^^ LOL!
Seriously tho. That is quite possibly the DUMBEST thing i've ever heard. If those people are willing to kill themselves over MJ, then they shouldn't have been on this earth to begin with. Add them to the list of people i want to punch in the face.
Morons.

Now all we need is Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Amy Winehouse to die, have their fans kill themselves and the earth will be a utopia.

Lets not forget Lyndsay Lohan, Mylie Cyrus and Paris Hilton.

Edit- is it to late to add Gwen Stephani to that list??

I'd say it's a farcical situation myself. Step back from yourself and see how pathetic your life is; you are thinking of killing yourself for someone you don't know, and never would know.

Not to say I don't feel sorry for these people, but if fascination with celebrities irritates, outright worship of celebrities angers. You are a person, not a dog - act like one!

I thought this Michael Jackson shart would last a day or 2 max, somehow it's dragged on a week. The guy was 100lbs soaking wet, 30 of those were plastic/rubber. Why is this such a suprise that he croaked, so what if he had a few hits, he diddled kids and thought he was Peter Pan.

Not suprising. Even on that announcement of his last London shows the peopl e in the crowd just had this insane reaction to MJ, like he was god or something. There were grown men going ape $hit over seeing MJ.

I was actually wondering if this would happen.

I'm guessing there were similar reactions when Elvis died and when John Lennon was murdered.

People are strange.

I'm Jacko's biggest fan but I never thought about it. My family matters. Did these people think of their families before they took their life for MJ who I'm sure isn't happy with what they did.

I knew it would last a while. The first thing I said to my co-worker when the news broke was; "Man, I am going to get sick of hearing about this!"...

Good riddance. People are weak. Those who are weak deserve what comes their way. IF you that upset about a child molesting freak of nature who contributed a lot to the pop world in 80's but has contributed nothing to society since, then the world doesn't need you. If he is that important to you then you need to re-think life and realize there are far more important things.

Emanuel Lewis and Macauley Caulkin are doing fine and they actaully knew him. What is wrong with these people?
