Default Tversity + Wii for media playback

Has anybody had success with Tversity playback on the Wii? I installed TVersity tonight, but the video playback on my Wii so far is awful, slow and choppy in a funny aspect ratio.

Well the Wii isnt all that powerful to begin with. I'd be shocked if it played anything besides a crappy Flash movie.

I wish the original xbox played MKV files.. then it'd be the ultimate Media Center. Looks like popcorn hour is the way to go.

I can't give you specific Wii information, but Tversity works great with my 360 on a wireless G network, which surprised me. I thought there wouldn't be enough bandwidth for it.

Ah, yah, I actually did read the above and if you actually read the forum post you linked, you'd see that the guy is manually editing his videos into shorter segments so that they'll play back without crashing. Total fail. Though I agree that CP was probably the wrong forum for this posting, I was curious if anyone in the "real world" was actually using Tversity. I'll try the Tversity forums again. Or I'll just ditch it.

Actually I did read the forum in question. And numerous others trying to get
the Wii to work in my sons room and that was the best solution I found.
It really doesn't take long as all you are really doing is splitting the file
not re-encoding.

I used Tversity to stream media to my xbox360 for a while, and that worked pretty well. Though I've since abandoned it and am simply streaming it through my network instead. I haven't had a problem with that.

As for the Wii, I haven't tried that yet.
