Default Flames Prospects in Memorial Cup

So we have Greg Nemisz and Mikael Backlund in the Memorial Cup.
Is there any others?

Any predictions on who will be dominant or not?

Backlund has a history of playing his best hockey in big games. I look forward to seeing what he does.

Backlund is one of the go-to guys in Kelowna, so he'll be big for them.

Nemisz is important but is behind guys like Hall, Ellis, Loktianov. He doesn't have to be dominant just good is enuogh.

Grantham is one of those unsung heroes.

So I look for Backlund to have the biggest impact.

A little off topic but I really like Hall. I think he will be a top 5 pick next year and his favorite team is the Flames. Work you magic Sutter and grab this guy!!

I thought he is widely believed to be going #1 overall next year.

He is, but I figured I would put him in the Top 5 category because its more then a year away, there can be late bloomers and unknowns.

LOL.............if you look at the player profiles it says Dale Mitchells' favourite band is Rick Astley........he will be prefect for the Leafs!

Some of these kids and their gay music these days.............(sigh)

Yes, but Mitchell is definitely a clown, so I'm sure it was all a joke.

I'm happy to see Eric Wellwood's favourite team is neither the Canucks nor the Leafs. Maybe I can diminish my hate by association.

Is Eric Wellwood a highly thought of prospect? I've heard Cherry talk about him a couple of times on Coach's Corner but I don't know if it is just because of his love for Kyle Wellwood or if Eric is actually a good prospect?

I've heard he's faster and grittier than his brother, but lacks his high-end offensive skill. His jump in stats can't be ignored, though - 34 points in 61 regular season games vs. 21 points in 20 playoff games.

that guy will be a sick player, he's basically the best on the team already and still maturing. Cherry's predicted him to be 1st overall when he was 16 or something

Backlund easily the most dangerous player on the ice early in the first game.

First time watching Grantham......he isn't a bad skater relative to the other players on the ice. He definitely is out there to intimidate.

Rimouski looks a little outclassed thus far - I don't know that they have what it takes to compete with Kelowna or Windsor. Good thing they have the obscenely low glass to help them out.
