His older brother Max had, from all accounts, an impressive rookie season with the Ice last year.

We are starting to see more and more that privilaged kids are having more success in hockey over lower income families. This is not epidemic by any means but has to be a concern for Hockey Canada.

Back in my day, alot of player selections came down to politics. In minor hockey that is. I imagine things haven't changed. Plus they can afford the better summer camps etc.

Plus the blood lines of an ex-NHLer doesn't hurt either.
