Anyone no where I can pick up some reasonably priced audio accessories. I am looking to rough in my new house with speaker wire and wall plates (mainly for the rear speakers).

I found some decent prices on Ebay, but I would rather buy in Calgary if possible.

Also any recomendations on the guage? 12 or 14?

Thanks in advance

14 guage should be fine. 12 gets pretty hard to work with, but if you don't mind go ahead. Just buy it off the spool at home depot or something. Any kind of brand name speaker wire is about the biggest rip off ever, and may not even be as good.

You can get some really cool wall plates at Home Depot as well. When I finished my basement this fall I went with the "keystone" variety. Here's a link to what they look like. Really flexible system. They're in the electrical dept.

I've done a full 5.1 sound system with rear speaker jacks in the ceiling, and run composite, s-video, RGB component and RGBHV BNC component, DVI, and HDMI behind where the big TV will go someday.

Now I just have to save up for the TV... B)
