Canucks fan leaves kids in hot car to hit the bar
I saw this on the news last night and was just blown away that people can actually be this stupid.
Quote:
A 26-year-old Abbotsford man left his two-year-old child and four-month-old infant locked in a car while he went for a beer at a temporary bar established for the city's Agri-Fair early Saturday morning.
|
Quote:
The doors of the minivan were locked and the windows were closed, leaving the kids with no air flow in temperatures in the mid-20s. Police believe they were left in the van for several hours.

Makes me pretty sick to think someone could actually think this would be a good idea. People like this should be shot.

Must be taking tips from the ###### here in town that left his kid in the car while he went and gambled.

You're really blown away by this? It's horrible, agreed -- but people regularly demonstrate their stupidity in this area.

The kids should be taken away from the father and put in foster care. Find them a home with parents who actually give a damn about a childs health.

People continue to prove that there is no depth of stupidity and carelessness they cannot reach.

I guess it is just the fact he didn't unroll the windows a bit (not that it would have made it any better) or something to not have the kids dying in his sauna. I know how hot it can get just hopping into my car while its sitting in the sun let alone sitting in it for hours.

It sounds like his kids were not fans of the Heat though...

I am not particularily fond of the word "Canucks" in the title of the thread.
Unfortunately, incidents like this still occur. We might like to make fun of the fans to the west of us, to the north of us, but I don't think it is fair to infer Canucks fans are of this nature. and I think the title does infer that. These incidents have occurred in Calgary too.

It's called joking around. I know the interwebz is serious business but try laughing and smiling I promise it doesn't hurt.

I know it is joking around and to each their own. I am telling you that for me, that is "too" much joking around.

I wouldn't pick blueforever though. The technically correct, Blue/black/yellow/red/navy/whiteforever doesn't have much of a ring to it.

I was watching this on the news and it showed the poor little baby crying his eyes out when the paramedics had him. They said it looked like he had been sitting in soiled diapers for hours, and the other little kid tried to keep him fanned but he wouldn't stop crying.
What an absolute joke, I can't believe that nobody saw this or heard the baby and was able to help either.

No way, I am not a Canucks fan.
I made up my mind a long time ago, there were certain issues that I would not cross the line with, that are not funny.
Child neglect, child abuse, spousal abuse all fall into those categories for me. For me, they are extremely serious issues and I don't make jokes about them or infer anything funny about them.
But as I said, to each their own.
