Possible jumper across the street
So sitting at my desk, next thing I know there are a ton of cops outside. Turns out some guy has climbed up a crane in a construction site across the street from my office and looks like he is ready to go.
Crazy man, I hope they get him down ok.
This is on 4th St and 20th Ave SW

I hope the situation is resolved successfully. The news said the other day that the hard times right now has led to a 100x increase in the number of calls to distress centres and help lines.

Nope, no Ducky's in the area as far as I know. Right across from the Petro Canada gas station on 4th. Few blocks south of 17th Ave.

Yeah, that's the one. BTW, Duckys is that pub in that little strip mall south of the construction site.

It happened in Seattle a couple of years ago.
There was a jumper on one of the bridges during rush hour, so they had to block off one lane of traffic while police dealt with it. Apparently people on the bridge became fed up with being inconvenienced so several started chanting "JUMP, JUMP, JUMP"...
Can't remember how it ened though...

He came down on his own via stairs at a speed much lower then normal gravity would propel him. =)
