iphone and airport extreme

I obviously have an iphone and I have a new airport extreme. Prior to the airport extreme I had an iwire modem from telus. The iphone connected fine, and I got decent speeds, about 2Mbs. The reason I got the airport was because I switched to shaw high speed. I have an imac connected directly into the airport, and my printer connected into it. My wife's macbook is wireless, and it works great, although it wants to default to the neighbours unsecure connection. She has to manually pick our home network. The problem is my iphone. It will connect, but the best download speeds are about 100kbs. At work and at the apple store my iphone gets 4Mbs. I have the airport set to G because my wife's macbook is older, and doesn't use N. I figured this may help with my iphone, but it didn't make a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: have this fixed now and am now getting as high as 5Mbs download speeds. I spoke with an apple "expert" and we went through the setup. The differences were to use the same password for both the airport and the wpa2. And I also turned off the the guest networking. It creates conflicts for the iphone according to him.
