Default Selling old PC games

Anyone know of a place that will buy old PC games? Or are they now just coasters?

It depends what you have. There's no real demand. There's some online places like http://gametz.com/ where you can trade, etc. but there's little demand for PC games.

You can get some money at EBgames, etc. but they'll give you pennies, just like most of everything on their trade in list for console games unless they are very specific games or have a specific trade in value.

List what you have in the buy/sell of CP and see if anybody wants something. Unless it has multiplayer that is still popular, or it is an old classic game, it's almost worthless.

If you've got a copy of Wolf 3D, I'll buy it!

Isn't wolfenstein 3d abandonware now? I've got it on 3.5" disk somewhere! I kill mecha hitler every couple of years on dosbox.

EBGames won't take PC games anymore because too many people sold them games, but kept using the CD key to play online, making it useless for the new owner.

On a related note, Shawnessy Future Shop still has new copies of Total Annihilation in stock: 1997 game of the year!

LOL, EB used to be stupid and put the entire CD case in the used game bin even with the CD key sticker attached.

People would go in there and take a pic of the CD key sticker with their cellphone and put the game back into the bin.

The funniest part is that Supreme Commander is essentially a remake of TA a decade later... and Supreme Commander is NOT in stock! TA is still pretty awesome though.

Edit: Also, there's Total Annihilation: Spring which is a rebuild of lots of TA mods on an open-source engine.

Further O/T: how is a gamepad a related product for a strategy game?

Video Game Trader is a good store for old PC games, tho they can be a bit pricey, especially if the box/manual/discs/maps etc are all in good shape. Lot of stellar collectors items...

*glosses over the fact he bought a copy of Freddy Pharkas Fronteir Pharmacist last month*

Did you buy it to play it or because you wanted all the paraphenalia?

It's abandonware and free to download
