(Feel free to give yourself a snappy and yet ironic or esoteric team name.)
Draft order is snaking due to an outcry.
Asskicks are set at twelve hours, starting.... now!
Trades welcome any time, including multiple-for-one trades. If you trade during the tournament, you lose all the points that the team has accumulated for you thus far.
After selection day, we'll throw all the teams that made the tournament selection but weren't drafted by any of us back into the draft, and you can replace your teams that didn't get selected with some that did. So, for example, if you picked a team that didn't get selected, the team is removed from your roster and next time your pick comes around, you can fill it with a team that did make the tournament.
In the event that the draft isn't finished by the day before the tournament, we'll have a last minute 'feeding frenzy' round where you can fill out your roster without worrying about draft order.
Scoring:
Scoring will go 1-1-2-2-3-4.
So a team that wins one game gets one point.
Win two games, get two points.
Win three games, get four points.
Win four games, get six points.
Win five games, get nine points.
Win the whole tournament, get 13 points.
With the 1st selection in the CP March Madness Draft, StrayBullet selects, The University Of Connecticut Huskies.
The beast JR at centre, coach Calhoun and speedy backcourt... UConn is the unavoidable #1... My apologies for the tardiness of the pick - I was awaiting an injury report.
With the 2nd selection in the CP March Madness Draft, drew24 selects, The University of North Carolina Tar Heels.
I firmly believe all the preseason hype is appropriate for this team.
I'll lay out this team quickly.
Tyler Hansbrough- Hard worker and defending national player of the year.
Deon Thompson- Talent hidden by Hansbrough but is a force when #50 is on an off day.
Wayne Ellington- Sick shooter and has caught fire at certain points at times this year.
Danny Green- Electric on both ends.
Ty Lawson- Pretty fast and timely 3's.
Not to mention all of these players will end up in the NBA.
With the third pick in the draft, I'm happy to make a pick I would NOT have made 10 days ago.....Kansas Jayhawks!

Reason: Better?
Led by Junior PG Sheron Collins and super Sophomore postman Cole Aldrich, the young Jayhawks have gelled and become a team that I truly believe nobody wants to play in the postseason.
Awfully young, but man they're good.

For anyone who hasn't looked in the workshop thread, there was some discussion that the draft should be snaking, and I'm inclined to agree; I should have set it up to be snaking to begin with. If nobody objects, we'll change to snaking since we're still in the first round and it shouldn't affect anyone's existing picks.
Great choice Girly. I had to talk myself out of picking them. Griffin is a fantastic player. I loved the KU/OU game last week. Great game...9 point win for KU without Griffin in the lineup. Lucky for the Jayhawks!
