Abolutely the worst father in history
http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2008/0...triaslave.html
This is just sick.. I heard this on the news this morning (CKUA) and when it wasn't repeated I actually wondered if I dreamed something so terrible.
There are not enough ways to punish this .

How does the father explain to his wife the new kids they are raising; if the daughter is (as far as the wife knows) gone and doesn't wish to be found?

Every time a new kid showed up it was the "missing" daughter who didn't want to deal with the responsibility, at least that's what I got from the article..
Just disgusting!

I don't think I understand what you're saying here.
Something I also don't quite get: several of the kids born from the woman locked in the basement lived upstairs with the abuser and his wife . . . but the wife knew nothing of it?
What am I missing here?

1984 father drugs and locks daughter in basement (aged 18). The next day the father reports daughter missing. 1 month later a note is "found" by the father saying that the daughter left and doesn't want to be found. Over 24 years he rapes her and she bears 7 children.
1 (a twin) died shortly after birth - father incinerated the body
3 were "dropped off" on the families doorstep with the father telling his wife that they were the missing daughters kids who she couldn't take care of.
3 remained locked in the basement with their mother never seeing the light of day until one of them is sick and the father takes her to the hospital once again claiming to the wife that this girl has been dropped off by the missing daughter.
Father then confesses to his horrible crimes.

Ahhhh, thanks . . . I was quite confused. I didn't realize that's how he was explaining the kids. It's times like this I wish I believed in hell.

Completely speechless. So many lives absolutely destroyed. It has nothing to do with sexual gratification IMO. It would take a lot less resources to go binge on hookers and blow than maintaining a dungeon for your daughter for 24 years. It was all about the torture. Pure sickening evil. There is no adequate punishment, so what do you do with him?

considering there's no death penalty in Austria, I assume he'll play out the remaining years of his life in prison. Perhaps someone will kill him while he's in there.
Kind of odd that the last two cases of this happen to be in Austria. My vote is for coincidence, but it is strange.

still, the guy's wife is claiming she knew nothing? How big was this basement? She couldn't hear anything? Soundproof room or not, she had to know something was up.

This is what I thought about too. But, if she's stupid enough to believe the stories about these 3 kids showing up, she probably isnt too bright.
I realize that we all have places in our house that we rarely use or go into, but for 24 years? She never questioned what the husband was building with reinforced concrete down there? She never asked what was behind that keyless entry door?
Maybe she's like Dido in the Eminem video and she was never allowed to go into the basement and see what kind of crap he was uup to?
24 years without going downstairs in your own house doesnt seem too realistic though. Especially when looking for your missing daughter...I think the first thing I would do is check around the house...like every damn corner and behind every door (even the new non-suspicious soundproof keyless entry one).

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!

According to one story I read, the door to the room was hidden so well that you almost can't see it even if you know its there. Controling husband says "stay out of the basement", obedient wife listens. I would presume that this dungeon was separate from the main basement, however, so even if she did go down, she likely wouldn't have found anything. Room was soundproofed as well.
This guy really thought it out well. And yeah, I don't expect that he will last long in prison. Course, they could just lock him up in solitary confinement until he dies.

Apparently it had been built before the couple were married and the door was hidden behind some cabinetry..
Which makes it all the more scary.. it's like he planned to have a daughter just for this purpose.
