Default Johnny Reid - Canadian Musician

Anyone here a fan of this man?

I've been cutting a show about him for the last week and I have to say this man is a true stand up guy. I get all the B Roll and listen to him talk to people with great respect. It continues even when he does not even know the camera is on him. I'm not a country music guy but personally he is freaking outstanding. He was born in Canada moved the Scotland and is back in Canada signing his heart out.

My sister got me tickets to Martina McBride for a gift. I took my Dad as he's a big McBride fan. Anyhoo, Johnny Reid opened for her, along with Sugarland. I was an instant fan. He was better than Sugarland by a mile, and while Martina was exceptional, he stole the show. I went out and bought his CD immediately. And I know that my Dad is patiently waiting for me to get my hands on a set of tickets for him and my Mom to go see him again.

I've always found it odd that he gets his airplay on country radio. Soul, yes. Country, no.

I'm not a big fan but he seems genuinely likeable and it's good to see him doing well.

Some of his songs were a bit country like. But it seems that the was first played on country so he seems to be type cast for now. He has a great voice.

His latest album came out last week I believe and went gold in 48 hours. I look forward to interviewing him. I didn't get the opportunity last time.
