Does this thread coincide with a bunch of encounters with 'strugglers' out on the roads since the last snow storm?

I drive QEII to Red Deer, Monday mornings. This time was epic! The roads were terrible, I contest though, if you can't drive in these conditions please pull off the road. Please don't drive in the fast lane at 50 km/h and have even the slowest of cautionary tractor trailers passing you in the slow lane. In this case it was a female driving a white sporttrac adreneline while talking on her cell phone. FREAKING UNREAL!! The 20" wheels with sport tires! C'mon!! On a cell too!!! Most likely getting coaching from an equally ignorant driver.
/rant
Please be gone winter, I want to be happy Monday mornings. Thank you.

I hate March for this exact reason. You get a nice week or 2-12 and you think winter is gone and then BAM, -25.
At least in January that feels normal. March you never know what's going to happen.
But I hate to tell ya, this is pretty typical of March in Calgary. And generally we even get one last huge snowfall in April too, so we're not done quite yet.

Bad drivers, jackets, girls NOT wearing skirts... There are lots of reasons to be good and tired of winter.

I'm in the same boat as you 4X4. I usually love winter, but this crap is getting ridiculous...time to break out the ol' fishing boat and head up to Pigeon or Buck for a little bit of pickerel fishing and beers. Dammit I can't wait for that.

Love your rants 4x4!
Last year at this time we had little or no snow on the ground. Yet i hear on the news that Deadmonton set a record low last night at a bone chilling - 42.

I agree with 4X4, I want the snow gone, my car likes to be shiny, in winter it's not shiny. It's not happy and neither am I.

Mine's nice and shiny. I make sure to wash it just before a cold snap sets in

As I've said time and time again. This is mother nature having her revenge on Al Gore and all the global warming hipsters pretending to know what their's talking about and that we puny humans can have an effect on global temperatures and that it's some kind of utterly irrefutable and totally scientifically agreed on done and finished phenonmenon.. She's showing him who's boss.

I saw a girl outside in a short skirt today. Clearly I'm not ready for spring because it distracted me into almost running over this dude jaywalking with his cell phone in his ear.
Which brings us to an interesting legal question: would I be at fault for being mesmerized, or would he be at fault for walking out in front of the car just as the light turned green for me, or would she be at fault for being unseasonably sexy?

The girl is never at fault. Even though it's clearly her fault, if you punish girls for wearing things that make men crash, they might stop wearing them as often. That would suck.
Cell phone guy deserves to be hit just because he's a moron for yapping on a phone AND jaywalking. But legally, you'd still be at fault. Unless you ran. Fast. Pin it, bro!

The only entertainment today in this frigid hellhole was watching out my office window at cars sliding through the intersections. Lots of little bumps and knocks, mixed in with silent arguing and fist waving.

Not even close. Environment Canada says it only got down to -31.
This is why I hate wind chill being expressed as a temperature. People always mix the two up, and -42 temperature is very different than -42 wind chill.

I wasn't aware that wind chill was factored in. Good point!
