Super-hero or Super-villian? Super-Powers?

So if you were given the opportunity - say by Xenu ignoring his current earthly acolytes and picking you out as his prophet of destruction - would you go for super-hero, or super-villain? And what powers would you want?

For me, I'd definitely go for super-hero, then a fall from grace to become a super-villain, then redeem myself and become a hero again. After all, how can you get down with the far superior super-villainess babes if you never sample the dark side?

For super-powers, I need to be able to fly (up to supersonic speeds), crush skulls like candy, and have some kind of blowing-stuff-up ability, so I think I'll go with cyborgization, which also has the advantage of being able to upgrade myself all the way up to nuclear missiles for those occasions when nothing but complete annihilation will do.

I'd be a hero given the opportunity. Hulk-like strength without the loss of control/rage would be awesome. So something along the lines of the Professor Hulk incarnation.

I've always been a fan of Wolverine type powers, or maybe turning into a giant fireball like the Human Torch

Hero for sure. But keep the powers simple and subtle. Like moving stuff with my mind. Done and done.

There's no fall from grace for this super villian, I was born bad, will die bad and there will be no redemption.

I'd like to think that my super villian power beyond a radioactive enhanced jerk gene would be two fold.

I'd have to be bullet proof so I can laugh at the pathetic nature of man as police bullets bounce off of me killing innocent civilians.

But I would also need the whole invisibility power so I can sneak into woman's locker rooms after a long day of robbing banks and punting kittens into traffic.

I'd want the ability to control time - freeze it or go back/forward in it. Plus I'd want the ability to teleport anywhere.

I don't like the idea of being either a superhero or supervillian. I'd go for being a super anti-hero.

I'd take Professor X's abilities - able to read and control minds (minus being stuck in a wheel chair of course)

Then I would use those powers to control anyone else with powers and use them to my ends.

In the end I would be a hero though; even in games like Fable or KoTOR it is a chore for me to go the evil route, haha.

I think that I would want something low key, not obvious that will make people stop and stare as I walk down the road. Something like Superman would be cool but that is overkill for me.
I think that I would like something like Green Lanterns ring. I could fly and make anything appear at will.

As for the hero\ villain I like Jammies idea of starting good, then snapping and going bad, then finally turning back to good.

I like the idea of being a super-hero and then falling from grace to become a super-villain. As for powers, not sure, shape-shifting would be pretty cool. I'll have to post back to what my powers would be.

Hero for sure, and for lack of originality would think that Superman pretty much has everything a guy could want - fly anywhere (including outerspace), xray vision (tell me that you wouldn't abuse this one), invulnerability, super strength.

I would have the ability to influence the past, present and future. Voila, no Tom Cruise, the Flames win the cup in '04, and guess who doesn't marry Brad Pitt and have 15 children and becomes my concubine.
