Has anyone pre-ordered this yet? It has been raved that this is probably the best game in terms of FPS and graphics on a ANY console to date, yet it is only exclusive to the PS3. What are your thoughts about it?

I've been fairly excited about this one for a while. I usually try to reserve judgment best I can but the buzz from reviewers sounds pretty positive. I'm a ragdoll physics junkie so I really like the looks of the bullet action so far in the videos i've seen.

I'm stoked. I'm so far behind in my gaming though...I have so many games that I bought over the last year and haven't finished/got the achievements that I want from them. And I just downloaded Burnout Paradise on the PSN, am replaying MGS4 and wnat to go through Uncharted for the trophies (which I already did, and got them all...then i forgot to synch my data and then my ps3 messed up and I had to clear my hd ...so mad)

hopefully it's better than Resistance 2. i got that bundled with my PS3 and had to shut it off after the first couple of levels, what an annoying game

Sucks to hear Resistance 2 sucked, I enjoyed playing the first one with my brother. I am excited for Killzone 2 as well. I will probably never play it, since I never use my PS3 for games, I got an xbox 360 for that, but it is always nice to see the PS3 get a few really good games. Hopefully Killzone 2 doesn't disappoint.

I actually might finally buy a PS3 to play this game, but we'll see. Been following it since that E3 trailer blew everyone away many years ago now.

Not a fan? What annoyed you about it? I'm about 3/4 through and I think it's pretty cool. Not as good as the first one imo, but still a worthy product if those types of games are your thing.

no cover system, very repetitive gameplay, weapons all seem very lackluster, and it just seems to try and piss you off every chance it gets. it was bad enough with those mutant shark things that are un-killable but instagib you the moment you enter the water, or those floating robots that swarm you with a dozen at a time and no way to find cover. but i had to shut the game off when it decided to bring out the invisible wolverine knockoffs that killed you with one swipe of their claws. with a mouse and keyboard it may not have been so bad, but trying to turn around quick enough when one pops up behind you using a controller is just too frustrating

the boss fights were boring as hell too. i almost fell asleep fighting the giant fish thing while you're on a floating platform, rinse & repeat the same cycle of moves for a solid 5-6 minutes with a gun that shoots once every 10 seconds. i can't stand games that think difficulty=annoying, the Call of Duty games are perfect for showing that you can have a difficult game without it being irritating

Resistance 2 is so overrated, its just a generic overrated FPS thats been done many times before. Killzone 2 is where its at.

And I agree with Hemi, I found certain parts so boring and the boss fights were lame and didnt live up to the hype at all...there was no challenge in taking them down.

Fair enough ... all valid points. I kind of liked the invisible wolverine things, scared the hell out of me.

To throw the discussion back on the rails, I didn't realize killzone doesn't come out until the end of february. I have a gift card burning a whole in my wallet that I was hoping to spend earlier. Ah well, I still have to get through Call of Duty and finish off Resistance 2.

Does that mean we get it today too? Don't we usually get the Euro updates in the evening? I was so confused by the news releases regarding the demo. First it was out on the 5th ... then the 26th ... and then it was back to the fifth.
