Does anyone know who in the city sells it? Internet has nothing and so far the city has been equally crappy.

OMG!!!! How did I not see this thread!!!!

Heys luggage is CRAP!!!! Come to my store and I'll hook you up with some decent hard side luggage (although, I can probablly recomend something even better...) I'll sell you something that'll last you longer than one trip.

We have the Delsey Mobility and Seascape. Just all around a better quality. You just have to touch it to feel the difference.

PM me for more info... JUST DON'T BUY HEYS!!!!

We bought a 3 piece set of Heys from sears before a 10 day trip to LA in february. One piece didn't make it out of our house. One piece broke at the airport before our departure (just the zipper but what a pain). The zippers on both shells we took broke and the locks they provided broke. Needless to say we took them back shortly after getting back in town. Gotta love Sears return policy though.

Wow, that's really bad for something so expensive.

I think the set we got was $499.00 regular price and on sale for $199.00. I would have been choked if we had to lug them around but it was basically from the airport to the hotel, where they sat for ten days and then back to the airport. Which is lucky for us that we didn't have multiple destinations but also a testimate to how truly crappy this luggage is.

Damn, that is shat, and pricey shat at that. I spent $50 on a 3 piece set of Air Canada branded luggage that I carted to China. It was on sale, of course. But I was there for 4 weeks. Had to cart it from Calgary, to Vancouver, to Taiwan, to Hong Kong (Where we spent a week), to Canton, to rural canton for 2 weeks, back to Hong Kong for another week. And what's even worse is I stayed with an aunt in Hong Kong. Her apartment building was only accessible by stairs. So I dragged those suckers up the stairs twice, dragged it down once, and dropped it down the stairs once (I accidentally lost my grip on the biggest one and it literally bounced down). It all came home in once piece.

All I can say is "Briggs and Riley"...
It's a little more expensive, but with an UNLIMITED LIFETIME warranty that covers everything, it's worth it knowing I will have it for the rest of my life...one of the signs in my store says the warranty covers:
-Taxi driver damage
-Under-tipped Bellhop damage
-Rabid dog damage
-even airline damage

Just over-all the nicest luggage we have IMO and seeing as we carry Tumi (which is supposed to be the "Mercedes" of luggage) as a comparison, that should say something.

If a hardside your choice, the Delsey Seascape is what Mikka Kiprusoff bought from us. A nice piece as well.

(Am I a geek because I get excited about luggage? I could talk all day about luggage and their pros and cons...)

I've got a Delsey suitcase and both the tabs are now off the main zippers. Makes it a bitch to open and close.

I just cashed in some of my airmiles on new luggage. Of course, I didn't want to buy luggage sight unseen so I checked out the Bay and Sears in the mall so I could compare. I was comparing the Heys hard shell set and Delsey Helium Lite set. The Heys luggage looks way better in the pictures on the internet than in person. My first thought was those 4 castoring wheels they put on them will get sheared off first trip. Googling customer testomonials confirmed this. They kind of remind my of what a suitcase would look and feel like if you made one out of a rubbermade garbage can. Just seemed cheap... and Heys is more expensive!

Anyway, we opted for the Delsey Helium Lite 4 piece set... this series isn't hard shell type luggage though, so I don't know how much my post really helps if this is the type you need. Haven't used they luggage yet, but it looks to me to be a far better designed set of luggage. Better customer reviews on the Delsey and cheaper. Guess I'll have to dig this thread up in a year or 2 to really give a proper review!

If you go to Handy Luggage, they should be able to hook you up with new tabs. They're the authorized repairers for Delsey.
