Default Memorial Drive Closed (Tuesday due to flooding)

Looking out my window there's a whack of police cars blocking off Memorial. It is closed east of 10th street, and looks closed at least as far as 5th st- possibly further.

Can anybody further east downtown see what's going on?

I drove that stretch about 3 hours ago. There was some major puddle action. I bet some dumass hit a puddle without his wipers on and crashed.

There's been flooding in that area before when the storm sewers get backed up. I live about a block from there and was considering running home at lunch, but now I think maybe I'll skip it.

If you ban flooding, what are the overpaid, underworked firemen supposed to do with their time?

With Checkpoint Calgary at every intersection that should keep them busy for quite awhile.

I can see Memorial and about Centre Street from my office window. Traffic looks to be going ok.
