I'd say it's more like a free ride when you've already paid. But that's just me.

just so we dont have to go through all of them in a 100 posts ill just get it out of the way

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic...don't you think
A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think...

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Helping you out

That is really messed up, isn't there a new Final Destination being released soon? Can they rework this into the script?

Was it on this forum that there was a big discussion as to whether that song was ironic or not? I can't remember exactly where it was but I remember laughing about it...

It is ironic because the song doesn't contain a single example of irony.

And this not-ironic-but-incredibly-coincidental tragedy is pretty damn sad.

The vehicle she was in veered into oncoming traffic hitting a truck.

Not to sound like an a$$, maybe it would have been better had she been on the plane, that way at least the guy in the truck might not have been injured.

I am not someone who gets all sad to here some random person who I have no connection with dies. It happens.

I think it's horrible what you said, but I'm going to play the devil's advocate here. Perhaps it was playing in her head that she could have been on that plane and it drove her over the edge (not literally). It's really sad to think the family of hers was probably so happy a couple weeks ago that she was still there, but now look what happened. Just a really odd occurance.

Life is finite, everybody dies. The tragic part isn't death, but the fact that people live such monotonous boring lives.

Unreal that people here can joke about someone's death. Unbelievable.
Well, that's two people. I know no one reads my posts, but really? You think I care about some random woman? This could get fun.
