Default blu-ray won't play

Hey, I am trying to watch a blu-ray movie on my laptop, it has a blu-ray drive, but it does not work, both with the Dell Player software or the PowerDVD9. Any suggestions?

Check for software updates. However, there are different versions of the update depending on whether you have the full version of PowerDVD or the OEM version, and if you pick the wrong one, you could end up screwing up your install, which could be risky if you have lost your license key.

Playing Blu rays on a computer is still dicey, and the PowerDVD software isn't exactly rock solid.

also make sure that you have the latest firmware for your player as well. It could be an issue with the disc being newer than your player.

Are you running Windows Vista? You'll need to be running Vista in order to play blu-ray on your laptop(or the very expensive AnyDvd HD software).
