Default Wanted: Singer for a band

Not sure if this is in the right forum but ill try it...

So I've been in a rock band for the last few months with a few other guys, and we've decided we're gonna need a pure vocalist instead of one of us trying to sing. Right now there's four of us, all between the ages of 19 and 24, and we're pretty serious about this, hoping to start playing gigs this summer.

So if there are any good rock and roll singers out there interested in joining, PM me and we'll sort out a time to meet up and see how things go.

I'd apply but the only thing I can sing is the entire score of Cats.

Not a singer, but a sound engineer. I own high-end professional gear and a truck and will travel. PM me for a gear list if interested.

Not to derail your thread however, our band is considering hiring an agent.
Something maybe for you guys to consider.

No leads for you man, but good luck with that.

After a competent drummer, a good vocalist is the 2nd hardest thing to find for a band :/

I took an entertainment law seminar at UBC. Bryan Adams's manager Bruce Allen spoke at one of our classes.

Really, maybe that's why the lead singer in my band sounded so choked/devestated when I told him I couldn't drum for him anymore. I said something to the effect of "well don't worry, just pick up another drummer and hit the studio again", and he thought I was crazy to say that.

Give the gig to the guy who sings in your tribute band.

Actually, this isn't a bad idea. Record a song, post it on the internet for people to download, drop vocals to, and then email back to you. Have a facebook and myspace thing going, some business cards, but mostly just posting in lots of forums and such. I'm confident that you could find someone that was relatively easily.

I can't sing. But I can lip sing and do an Irish jig pretty good.

well as much as I appreciate the offer, I am trying to find someone that can book us into a few gigs. The band is getting tired of playing the same venue all the time. Its basically a one bar town here and we wanna see what else is out there.
Our band is a five piece radio rock band from 70's to 00's.
Basically from Bryan Adams to Kiss to Audioslave to Foo Fighters.
We have been looking into booking ourselves into a bar in Calgary. I have a friend trying to line us up a gig at a place called the Riverbend Pub.
