word 2003 mail merge question

Good morning gentlemen, I was wondering if any of you have some advice for mail merging in Word 2003.

Basically one of my clients has Word 2003 and we want to merge from a CSV file format. This is easy enough in 2000 and 2007 but it doesn't seem to be apparent in 2003.

Has anyone here ever done this?

I just tried it and it seemed ok. Did you change the 'select files of type' to text (incl csv format)

Where does it go off the rails?

Its Tools>>>Letters and Mailings>>Mail Merge
