A cold front will bring winds gusts up to 100 km/h to southern Alberta tonight.

At 10:45 PM a strong cold front extends from Red Deer to St Paul. This front has been charging southwards tonight and has produced winds gusts of 100 km/h over central Alberta earlier this evening. This front will push into southern Alberta and reach Calgary by midnight.

This cold front will bring gusty winds of 90 to 100 km/h to extreme southern Alberta overnight before the front moves out of the province early Saturday morning.

Pfff, that's nothing. We got 100 km/h gust up here. Ripped my screen off the door and also started pelting ice pellets.

Still a normal brisk Lethbridge wind though, haha.

It's insane ... yeah that 78km might be low... was doing about 90k on deerfoot when a wind gust forced my vehicle a whole lane over... glad no one was beside me.

Yeah, that was just what I found... but KG posted the wind warning right after. Any stormchasers here who know if this will create some cool weather to take pictures off?

Wow and we think hurricanes are bad down here. At least we don't get pelted by ice. Hope everyone's okay.

That wind was insane, tossed my 150lb BBQ across the deck and busted the storage doors on it. Lovely.

The tower crane in my front yard was swinging back and forth pretty good last night.

Here's a pic of a car parked in the parking lot of my condo. Chances are good, that this wasn't his parking spot to begin with. Should I feel bad for him?

Not a great picture, but that is a port-o-potty tipped over, with the door having hit his hood. Not sure what's worse...having that damage on your car, or having to wade through fecal matter just to get into it! That would have been blown over by the wind.

Pfftttt

Nothing but a mere breeze compared to old Lethbridge. Last Tuesday the airport (yes Lethbridge has an airport) recorded 120km+ winds. The siding on my apartment building blew clean off. All the automatic doors in around the U of L campus were closed because the wind gusts wouldn't let them close.

All that north wind is from the air coming out of the Oilers bandwagon tires.

78 km/h winds are nothing. Wimps! Lethbridge regularily gets winds over 100km/h.
