Default Office To Office: Random Acts Of Kindness

Hey guys,

Just looking for ideas of Random Acts Of Kindness that an office can do for an unrelated office. I'm trying to think of ideas to raise awareness for my office, and we work around a bunch of other offices.

Instead of just showing up with a box of doughnuts, I want to do something that isn't business based, but has some impact.

Has your office done anything for someone in another office? Any ideas of what would be cool in this situation? What would you like to see in your office?

Any help would be appreciated.

PS - Hookers and Blow is probably not a good idea.

Fake someone in the other office's death and then stroll in with him the next day and say you brought him back to life to finish his TPS reports.

Mayhem will ensue, be prepared.

Hire an actor and dress him as a Taliban fighter, complete with bomb vest. Have him burst in, shout whatever it is they shout, then fly through the door and tackle him, thus "saving" everyone in the office. Introduce yourself and say "Danger" is your middle name.

Send red slips out... as warning to the coming pink slips? That would be kind of you as everyone appreciates not being blindsided.

While part of me appreciates the humour, other parts of me are completely disapointed. Actually looking to do some good, but running out of ideas. I don't think any of the above will cut it.

I would appreciate in this thread that serious posts continue.

What do you mean "raise awareness" for your office? Do you want the act of kindness for the other office to somehow affect your own? This act of kindness is for another entire office and not a single person there correct?

Buget wouldn't be too much. I would doubt we'd do more than $100.

Things like lunch for 20 people, tickets to something, not sure. What I'm trying to do is get our branch known on campus without coming across as trying to sell or solicit (sp?) something. Just show up and do something nice for a random office, or employee.

We've also played around with ideas like getting people to nominate people for a quarterly prize of some sort.

Has anyone done this with their office? Just show up with pizzas, or coffee or something? Has it worked for you? Just trying to build up ideas to present to my superiors before going forward with the plan.

You could buy them a bunch of tickets to Yuk Yuk's or something like that.

Get a bunch of balloons with jelly beans or other assorted candies as weights then go into the office and hand one to each person, like a flower.

Get a bunch of flowers and hand one to each person

Get a single bernard callebaut chocolate for each person

Send them a dvd of a movie, pay it forward perhaps, and a bunch of bags of kernels popcorn (perhaps with approval from their boss for a movie day at work?)

A bunch of bags of Kernels popcorn

Depending on the number of people get each person a neat pen $5-10 range that they would never buy themselves

A bouquet from Edible arrangements. http://www.ediblearrangements.com/

Get a small flowering potted plant for each person

Just a big ass basket of goodies from a basket place or make your own

A really decadent cake from Decadent Desserts or Sunterra

Some kick butt cupcakes or cookies http://www.cravecupcakes.ca/main.asp

There.

Also, HOOKERS AND BLOW

Shouldn't the title be 'Random Acts of Self-Promotion'?
