The development of an invisibility "cloak" could be just months away because of new research into the manipulation of microwaves, says a Duke University scientist.
Being invisible would be crazy. If this was invented and available to the public, it could be very bad. I can see a lot of negative things that can happen with this kind of invention, especially crime. Obviously the military will get their hands on it first.
Exactly! Stalkers of the world rejoice! Crime would be ridiculous, rendering security cameras useless. This kind of tech needs to be under strict lock and key because the potential for misuse and abuse is enormous.

Wow. Almost concerned to ask the question about what happened before you hit 14. Hideous acne?
Nah. Before I was 14 I thought it was just for peeing. Once I figured out what it was for my God given awkwardness took over. Yay for teenage memories.
The invention is only invisible to microwave waves (i.e. radars). Not visible light, meaning if you were to wear it, people would just see you wearing a weird cloak.

So you are safe if you are ever attacked by microwave ovens?
