Westwinds Superstore closed due to mouse infestation

A Real Canadian Superstore in Calgary has been shutdown by Alberta Health Services.


The grocery store, located at 3633 Westwinds Drive N.E., was closed at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.


Officials say the store was issued a public health notice and will remain closed until further notice.

On the news they were saying an anonymous tip for mouse droppings called it in and that the problem was wide spread.

if it was anyone but Superstore i'd be suprised.

I spent a number of years working for Safeway and i can assure you mouse infestation is not an isolated incident. If health inspectors checked out all grocery stores you'd probably have a lot more shut down. It often takes a call from the public to get any kind of action.
