Gluten free beer -- urgent help needed
So I am fybromyalgic. I am an O- blood type and have been told by my health professionals that beer (normal beer) is out.
I LOVE my beer. All Beer. I drink all of it ....except for the skunk pi$# they sell at some places.
Does anyone frequent any establishments in the city which sell any gluten free beer. Help a brother in need out would ya!?
I have to do this switch as my condition deals with the most severe types of rhuematism and chronic fatigue you can get. Beer is something I can enjoy at the end of the day as I am in my 40's and do allot of intense physical work.

I don't drink beer but I remember someone I know having the same problem. I remember him saying it was very hard to find, I recall him saying he could only find 2 in Canada.
edit: this was the beer he found http://www.lesbieresnouvellefrance.com/home don't know if it is available in Alberta or if there are others.
Best of luck!

My dad is a celiac, and he has tried gluten free beer...be warned, it's not very good, and it's expensive.

I bet your best bet would be to make trips to the US of A for more selection...or just go to hard drugs

There was a thread about guten free stuff from last month, there may be a few hints in there.
There is one post talking about beer, and I saw that beer in the Co-op Liquor Store before Christmas.

Many people I know are Celiac. The most popular seems to be "Le Messagere", the one linked to above.
Ive tried a few times, taste is pretty similarto wheat beers, but is more like a really blond lager.

I found Le Messagere more like a cider than a light lager, at least in mouth-feel. It's okay tasting if that's your only choice.

Just thought I'd have some fun. I just loved how you ended that sentence, "be warned, it's not very good and its expensive."
That could be its own thread: Start this sentence.
