A prominent fashion designer has sparked outrage in Chile by dressing up models like the Virgin Mary -- in some cases with ample, near-naked breasts.

Oyarzun said he had received telephone threats and had excrement smeared on his doorstep.

"There is no pornography here, there's no sex, there are no virgins menstruating or feeling each other up," Oyarzun said

Haha, well there are many popular theories that say that she might have been the victim of abuse or rape and simply claimed she was a virgin still to try and deflect the shame that would come with that, especially in that time and in that culture.

Course, those theories take other parts of the story into account. Most people usually just believe the story from the Bible as is popularly known, or dismiss it altogether claiming such people didn't even exist.

actually she more than likely said she was still a virgin because back in that time and culture the punishment for a woman* having sex out of marriage was stoning to death. I'd lie too.


*somehow I think it was probably ok for a man to do it though. I'm sure there were quite a few lying men and women back then.
