The only thing I enjoyed about the All-Star game last year was to see who would be the First All-Star team. Maybe we can still do that portion, have an All-star team, but just not play the actual game. Vote in 5 players and a goalie in the west and 5 players and a goalie in the east. That way we can continue playing games but also have a team. Just a thought, maybe it's dumb...any comments are welcome.

^Well that's something I think that makes more sense at the end of the year...the naming of the all-star team and the financial awards that go with it.

That's a good idea, I don't mind that.

I would agree with Simmer, are there not all star bonuses too for these players?

^No only end of year awards - the all star game selections didn't carry with them bonuses.

I can see ditching it as well, honestly I was feeling a wee bit embarrassed this year considering it was looking like i would be placing almost 15 players on the eastern squad... thats just too much

I think a few CPHL Oilers just had their ego's bruised. The only thing they'd been playing for all season has been lost. Ha ha stupid Oilers.

The Ducks support this decision seeing as we never have any all stars anyways!

Good move. I used to hate voting for all stars. Used to have a hard enough time to know my own roster to know what was happening with other teams.

Thanks for the feedback - good to know we were on the same page of the GMs it sounds like. We didn't want to take away a part of the game that people enjoy - but it sounds like that's not the case here.

This doesn't hurt the Flames feelings at all. The only all star on this team is 66 ov Mark Mowers who leads the team in scoring.

Good move. Honestly I don't like any real life all star games either. So certainly don't feel a sim one is needed.
