Default RIP Roger Abbott

The TV show was good at the start, then went downhill. The radio show was gold though (was around for the tail end years)

My mom took me to see a radio taping of Air Farce when I was just a kid. I still remember listening to them on CBC radio every Sunday morning.

Loved the show back in its heyday. I had a few of their radio CDs back in the day, I was like 10-12 at the time, so many jokes were over my head.

RIP

Sad to see 2 members of the Air Farce cast have died off, with Roger going at the young age of 64. I had no idea he was sick.

Roger's poopoolarity was well-earned.

I think this country could really use Air Farce giving us a venue to laugh about Canadian politics and culture. While Rick Mercer has his place (I'm personally not a fan), it just isn't the same thing.

Yeah, the last few years sucked, but the original Air Farce lineup was sheer genius. Never missed a Friday until John Morgan died; even then, the show was still good until Jessica Holmes came on full-time.

I'll remember Roger for his riffs on Jean Chretien, Don Newman and the Queen Mum. R.I.P.

Edit: Forgot the greatest Abbott character - Gilbert Smythe Bite-Me. Damn the Women's Television Network.
