Default PS3,NHL09, and bluetooth headset

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I tried a search and got way too many hits to go through.

Anyway, I'm heading to town to pick up a couple of headsets for me and my friend for when we are playing NHL09 against each other. I looked through the manual for 09 and couldn't find anything telling me about how the headsets work.

Specifically I am wondering if they just work automatically when you're in a game together, and if when you are in the lobby between games can you just talk only to your friend, or do you have to listen to everyone in the lobby too?

It's probably pretty self-explanetary when you get in the game, but I thought I'd throw something up on here just to be safe in case it isn't quite that easy.

Thanks

Ya it's pretty self-explanatory. All you need to do is pair it with the system from the main menu (of the ps3, not the game) first and then you're good to go. I only ever play the eashl online, and you can talk to your friends in the dressing room but you can hear your opponent during the jersey select screen.

OK, so in the lobbies you'd hear everyone else then. Hopefully when we're playing each other we can still talk to one another, mainly so I can laugh at him every time my Flames humiliate his coilers

yea, we played against each other last night, and basically as soon as you are in the same game together you can talk right up until you leave the game. great for when you're gloating. not so good when your friend is though
