Just read that on CNN...truly sad. His contract was terminated in June because he did not participate in the WWE rehab program. Some will now claim that wrestling threw him out when he needed it the most, others will suggest that the culture of wrestling promotes such unhealthy lifestyles and it should be an Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Issue. I will say, it is sad that this seems to be a recurring theme and my condolences to the family of course.

I haven't watched wrestling in 3 years now, but I was a fan of the Samoan bulldozer. Condolences to his family.

Sad to hear, but I'm really not surprised that this has happened again.

Isn't he related to the Rock? but yeah, that is pretty sad. I was wondering what had happened to him, didn't know he was released.

the mcmahan's will have a huge class action lawsuit for steroid, pain killer, concussion related deaths on their hands.
I'm surprised they don't already.

This is another unfortunate death.
You can't blame the WWE for bad personal choices. No one can be forced into rehab that doesn't want to be there.

can't you blame the WWE?
Someone is going to try and I think they lose in the court of public opinion.
There will be enough former burned out Mickey Rourke esque wrestlers to line up and say that they were explicitly or implicitly pressured to take steroids, perform while hurt, or other health risks for profit for the McMahons.

They told this guy that he could go to rehab or leave the company. He picked the latter. What are they supposed to do, tie him to a chair and drag him to detox?

A shame. I thought he would be on the road to Wrestlemania.

As a purely entertainment type view, I loved this guy, he was a lot of fun and really exciting to watch. Not in a wrestling way so much as a fun character to watch. It's a pity that anyone dies this young. Drugs and wrestling aside, he was a big dude, that couldn't have helped anything. Too bad.
