FUBAR and Mike Richards? Those are pretty different crowds.
Anyway, what to the TPB actually do in a show? Just play their characters?
They will do a few skits.....Bubbles will play a few tunes like "Liquor and whores" and "Kitties are so nice". They will be on the liquor for sure. If you're a fan of the show then you'd probably enjoy it. Not sure about 51 bucks though. This will more than likely be one of there last tours as the last show aired just before Christmas but they will have another movie coming out in the fall.

I was a huge TPB fan, until the start of the third season. Then it stunk, with a couple of Gems like Conky, The Delusions of Jim Lahey, and The Xmas Special.
The first two seasons were written as one story arc, whereas after that there was so much less cohesion.
Also, The Bible Pimp is by far the funniest episode.
Have you read the Bible?
Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. Whats it to you?
Can you read, my son?
Well that depends, can you go ###### yourself?

They "opened" for OLP a few years back and yeah they just do comedy in character. Bubbles sang his song about kittens. At the time they were relatively unknown, to me at least, and I thought they were hilarious. Yet I think their show is one of the worst in television history. Weird I know. They were funny when I saw them live. And I met Bubbles and he reluctantly signed my friend Joy's breasts.
EDIT: As an OT story we then saw Bradford Howe (I think that is his name, the MuchMusic VJ from Winnipeg) a few months later at the U of C and he refused to sign her tits because he was there on a charity drive.

That sequence between Bubbles and the salesman is hilarious!
I stopped watching during the season where they stole Patrick Swayze's model train and were running dope with Sebastian Bach. Just wasn't realistic anymore.

That would be the final season.
Only the "Say goodnight to the bad guys" special and the second movie which will be released this year remain beyond that season.
What happened? All I heard was that they left the show at some point.
Well their side is that they were asked to do everything for the show and got paid poorly while others got raises. Or something like that. I'm sure the other side is that they wanted too much money for the role on the show.

Thats too bad.
I actually thought that if they had called it done after the first movie then I think it would have retained enough endearment to be a true Canadian gem. Now they're shooting their own legacy all to hell unless they do something/go somewhere brilliant that nobody saw coming.
Ivan Reitman did miracles with what he had to work with. I remember a couple sequences in the movie that actually looked and felt almost "gritty" (when having introspective shots of a mutilated trailer park with the sounds of kids playing, for example).
To sum it up, I think the show did a lot for showcasing what can be accomplished with one or two cameras, a mic operator, and a bunch of really great actors. The Mount Royal film program I bet has better gear than they had for the first two seasons!
